Carson E. Schilling, who is also a formerly licensed certified public accountant, joined the law firm in February of 2009. He has a general office practice with a focus on real estate, oil and gas, wind energy, financing instruments, estate planning, estate administration, and tax matters. At the time of joining the firm he had seven years of experience with an estate and tax planning boutique law firm in Wichita, Kansas.

Carson’s office practice includes transactional matters such as estate planning, farm and ranch transactions, real estate transactions, farm and ranch leases, like-kind exchanges, rendering title opinions, and assisting with commercial and residential real estate transactions. Additionally, Carson’s transactional practice includes assisting clients with business entity formation and tax planning for individuals and business entities. He is also experienced in the sale and acquisition, re-organization and dissolution of businesses. Carson can assist you by drafting easements, leases, surface use and damage agreements and other documents that may affect your property. In his estate planning and administration practice Carson handles both simple and complex estate planning matters, including administration of estates and trusts, annual and lifetime gifts, tax disputes and issues, the drafting of wills, trusts, financial and medical powers of attorney and other related instruments.

Carson’s oil and gas practice includes negotiation and resolution of oil and gas leases, sales and acquisitions of minerals, saltwater disposal agreements, surface use agreements, pipeline easements, road easements, seismic agreements, assignments, master service agreements, mineral liens, and other related matters.
